NAWS Warbow Giveaway
 

NO PURCHASE, DONATION, OR MEMBERSHIP NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE, DONATION, OR MEMBERSHIP WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
 

1. Sponsor

The NAWS Warbow Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is sponsored by North American Warbow Society, Inc. (“NAWS” or “Sponsor”), a Connecticut nonprofit corporation recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
 

2. Eligibility

The Giveaway is open to legal residents of the United States and District of Columbia, excluding Rhode Island, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
 

Officers and directors of NAWS, individuals directly involved in administering the Giveaway or selecting the winner, and members of their immediate households are not eligible to win.
 

The Giveaway is void in Rhode Island and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
 

3. Giveaway Period

The Giveaway begins at 12:00 PM Eastern Time on September 19, 2026 and ends at 11:59 PM Eastern Time on October 25, 2026 (“Giveaway Period”).

Entries must be received during the Giveaway Period. Sponsor's records and systems will serve as the official timekeeping method for determining when an entry was received.
 

4. How to Enter:

During the Giveaway Period, visit the official NAWS Warbow Giveaway page and complete and submit the official entry form.

There is no charge to enter.

Limit one (1) entry per person during the Giveaway Period.

Multiple entries submitted by or on behalf of the same individual may be disqualified. Automated, fraudulent, incomplete, or otherwise improper entries may also be disqualified at Sponsor's reasonable discretion.
 

A purchase, donation, NAWS membership, paid NAWS membership tier, or other financial contribution does not provide an additional entry or increase an entrant's chances of winning.
 

5. Prize
 

One (1) winner will receive one bamboo-backed ipe longbow manufactured by Archery Bowman.

Horn nocks
 

The prize includes the bow, bowstring, and stringer.
 

The bow has been personally test-shot approximately ten (10) times by a NAWS founder and has otherwise seen very little use. The bow is therefore not represented as new or unused.
 

Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $390 USD.
 

The prize is non-transferable prior to award.
No cash alternative will be provided at the winner's request.
 

Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside Sponsor's reasonable control.
 

6. Odds of Winning
 

The Giveaway involves an element of chance.
 

The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period.
 

One (1) prize will be awarded.
 

7. Winner Selection
 

Following the conclusion of the Giveaway Period, one (1) potential winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Giveaway Period.
 

The drawing will be conducted by or under the supervision of NAWS.
 

8. Winner Notification and Verification
 

The potential winner will be notified using the email address provided with the winning entry.
 

The potential winner must respond within five (5) calendar days of the initial notification.
 

Sponsor may require the potential winner to provide reasonable proof of identity, age, residency, and eligibility and may require execution of an eligibility affidavit, prize acceptance documentation, and/or liability release where permitted by law.
 

If the potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the required period, is determined to be ineligible, declines the prize, or fails to complete reasonably required verification, the potential winner will forfeit the prize.
 

Sponsor may then select an alternate potential winner by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
 

9. Delivery of Prize
 

NAWS will pay the reasonable cost of standard shipment of the prize to a valid mailing address within the eligible United States or District of Columbia.
 

The winner will not be required to pay NAWS a shipping or handling fee to receive the prize.
 

The winner is responsible for providing an accurate and deliverable shipping address and for complying with any federal, state, or local laws applicable to the possession and use of the prize.
 

Sponsor is not responsible for delivery delays or failures resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the winner or circumstances outside Sponsor's reasonable control.
 

10. Taxes
 

Any federal, state, or local taxes or other tax obligations resulting from acceptance of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
 

11. Heavy Bow Safety Notice
 

The prize is a functional, heavy-draw-weight archery bow intended for use by appropriately experienced archers.
 

Archery, and particularly the use of heavy bows, involves inherent risks of personal injury, property damage, and equipment failure.
 

The winner is solely responsible for determining whether they possess the physical ability, experience, knowledge, appropriate arrows and other equipment, and suitable shooting environment necessary to use the bow safely.
 

The winner should thoroughly inspect the bow, string, and associated equipment before use and follow appropriate archery safety practices.
 

NAWS makes no representation that the bow is appropriate for any particular individual, experience level, shooting style, or purpose.
 

12. Prize Condition; No Warranty
 

The prize is a previously owned bow manufactured by a third party and is awarded “AS IS” and “WITH ALL FAULTS.” NAWS did not manufacture the bow and makes no representation or warranty regarding its manufacture, condition, durability, performance, continued serviceability, or expected useful life, except for the factual descriptions expressly stated in these Official Rules.

The bow has been previously test-shot and is not represented as new or unused.
 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NAWS makes no express or implied warranties regarding the prize, including warranties concerning its condition, durability, performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or expected useful life.
 

Archery equipment, including wooden bows and equipment constructed from natural materials, may wear, deteriorate, develop defects, or fail during use. NAWS does not guarantee that the bow will remain functional for any particular period of time or number of shots.
 

The winner assumes responsibility for inspecting the bow before each use, maintaining it appropriately, using appropriate arrows and equipment, and determining whether the bow remains safe to shoot.
 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NAWS is not responsible for subsequent wear, deterioration, damage, breakage, failure, repair, or replacement of the prize after it has been awarded, except to the extent such responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
 

13. Release and Limitation of Liability
 

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, entrants agree that North American Warbow Society, Inc., and its officers, directors, volunteers, representatives, and agents will not be responsible for claims, losses, damages, injuries, or liabilities arising from participation in the Giveaway or, in the case of the winner, the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize.
 

By accepting the prize, the winner assumes the risks associated with possessing and using heavy archery equipment and agrees to release and hold harmless NAWS and its officers, directors, volunteers, representatives, and agents from claims arising from the winner's possession, use, or misuse of the prize, except to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be waived, excluded, or limited.
 

Nothing in these Official Rules is intended to waive, exclude, or limit any right or liability that cannot legally be waived, excluded, or limited under applicable law.
 

14. General Conditions
 

By participating in the Giveaway, entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor concerning administration of the Giveaway.
 

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify an entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits fraudulent or duplicate entries, violates these Official Rules, or attempts to interfere with the fair administration of the Giveaway.
 

If circumstances outside Sponsor's reasonable control materially affect the security, integrity, fairness, or proper administration of the Giveaway, Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to suspend, modify, or terminate the Giveaway and, if appropriate, select a winner from eligible entries received before such action.
 

Sponsor will not arbitrarily reject or disqualify otherwise valid entries.
 

15. Privacy
 

Personal information submitted through the Giveaway entry form will be used to administer the Giveaway, verify eligibility, identify duplicate or fraudulent entries, contact the potential winner, and fulfill the prize.
 

Entering the Giveaway does not subscribe an entrant to NAWS marketing communications.
 

Personal information will otherwise be handled in accordance with the NAWS Privacy Policy.
 

16. Publicity and Winner Information
 

Except where prohibited by law, NAWS may publicly identify the verified winner by first name, last initial, and state of residence for purposes of announcing the results of the Giveaway.
 

No additional publicity rights are required as a condition of entry except where separately agreed to by the winner.
 

After the winner has been verified, requests for winner information may be submitted to NAWS using the contact information provided below.
 

17. Governing Law
 

Except where prohibited or where applicable law requires otherwise, the Giveaway and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.
